Dr István Sebestyén

With over three decades of experience in food chain law, policy, and veterinary sciences, Dr. Sebestyén brings a comprehensive skill set to his role as Scientific Director of NEVEX Institute Ltd. He holds degrees in Veterinary Engineering and Agronomy, and specialized in toxicology at Szent István University of Veterinary Sciences. His career includes 23 years’ experience in toxicological laboratories, senior positions at Toxi-Coop Zrt., senior scientific officer in Pesticide Unit of EFSA in Parma, Italy. He also taught ecotoxicological risk assessment at Szent István University and mentors PhD students. His extensive background uniquely positions him to advance food safety, compliance, and risk management within the dynamic food supply chain industry.
