Community Benefits Lead at Acciona Energía

Erin Mulquiny

Erin is currently the Community Benefits Lead at Acciona Energia, focusing on the design and delivery of their current and future benefit programs across Australia. This work is closely linked with the need to monitor and evaluate the way benefit programs help develop and maintain social licence, which has led to Erin’s recent work re-assessing Acciona’s approach to social licence, which she’ll explore with us today. With a background in Psychology and Business, Erin started out her community engagement career as a consultant at the Australian Energy Market Operator, where she worked on early engagement for transmission projects in Victoria. Since starting with Acciona, Erin has had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in regional communities across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. This on-the-ground experience has been invaluable, insightful, and, most importantly, completely humbling and has shaped the stories and ideas she’ll be sharing with us today.
