Fernando Íscar Rüland
Senior Counsel at Thyssenkrupp
Fernando is a Senior Legal Counsel at thyssenkrupp AG. He is experienced in cross-border public and private M&A transactions, competition law and pre- and post-closing restructurings. As an antitrust lawyer he is specialized in all aspects of European and German competition law, with a particular focus on Merger Control, FDI and FSR.
After spending several years as an external counsel in Spain & Germany he took over the role at thyssenkrupp and has now group-wide responsibility for all merger control, FDI and FSR matters.
He is admitted under German and Spanish law (Rechtsanwalt, Syndikusrechtsanwalt & Abogado).
As a side off-topic note, he is also a passionate professional freediver and member of the German national team.
