Jane Griffiths

Jane Griffiths (BAppSc (Dist), MCNA, AIMM, RN) was appointed to the inaugural CEO position on 1 July 2014. Previously Jane was the Day Hospitals Australia President from 2010 to 30 June 2014 and served on the Board of Directors and the former Management Committee of Day Hospitals Australia since 2008. Jane has over 14 years’ experience in managing day hospitals. Prior to her entry to the day hospital sector Jane was the Nursing Coordinator, Perioperative Services at a large overnight hospital for 10 years. During this period Jane was given to opportunity to experience a 7-week sabbatical to the USA to explore latest trends in same day surgery. This experience ignited Jane’s interest in ambulatory care. Jane and Dr John Napoli, represent Australia on the International Association of Ambulatory Surgery (IAAS) General Assembly. Recently Jane attended the IAAS General Assembly meeting and presented a paper at the IAAS Congress in Oslo. Jane is passionate about day surgery and care in the day hospital sector.
