Jonathan serves as outside general counsel to a number of global family offices and high-net-worth investors. He specializes in advising sophisticated clients on matters related to asset protection and investment structures, complex litigation and regulatory compliance. Jonathan regularly works with clients who have fled authoritarian regimes, and manages their external legal teams with respect to issues that include asylum and immigration status, human rights protections, Interpol Red Notices, sanctions and reputation management.
Jonathan has over 15 years of experience advising investment funds and financial firms on corporate and partnership structures, financial transactions and regulatory compliance. He previously served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Loeb Partners Corporation, a New York-based investment adviser and broker-dealer registered with FINRA and the SEC, and oversaw legal strategy for its parent company, Loeb Holding Corporation.
Prior to joining Loeb, Mr. Reich was an attorney at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. While at Schulte Roth, he served on an interim basis as assistant general counsel at Centerbridge Partners and Credit Suisse Asset Management.
Jonathan received his B.A. and J.D. from Columbia University and is admitted to the bar of New York.
