Lucas Harrington, PhD

As co-founder and CSO of Mammoth Biosciences, Lucas drives the translation of novel CRISPR discoveries into genetic cures. Lucas co-founded Mammoth Biosciences with Jennifer Doudna, Janice Chen, and Trevor Martin with the goal of leveraging novel CRISPR systems to provide permanent cures for genetic diseases and to democratize disease detection. Lucas conducted his undergraduate work at Washington University in St. Louis and Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkeley with Jennifer Doudna. Lucas is also a general partner for Scifounder Capital, a fund and incubator with the goal of helping more scientists start and build companies.
