Michael Probert
Hydrogen and Clean Energy Policy Principal at Office of Energy and Climate Change (NSW)
Michael Probert is the Hydrogen and Clean Energy Policy Principal for the Office of Energy and Climate Change. He led policy development for the $3 billion NSW Hydrogen Strategy, released in October 2021, and is currently overseeing implementation of the Strategy’s major policy initiatives. These include Australia’s only legislated green hydrogen production target, the NSW Renewable Fuel Scheme, and the electricity cost concessions for green hydrogen producers. He has worked in the hydrogen sector since 2019 and was a contributor for the NSW Government on development of the National Hydrogen Strategy.
