Sarah Carter

With more than 20 years’ experience in the global energy industry, Sarah joined bp earlier this year as the Project Director for the Australian Renewable Energy Hub (AREH). Sarah is leading the commercial and technical teams to support bp’s involvement in AREH, of which bp is operator. AREH aims to be one of the world's largest renewable energy hubs and could significantly contribute to Australia and Western Australia’s contribution to the energy transition. AREH will be a phased development, with the initial plans focused on decarbonization of the Pilbara through both green electrons (solar and wind) and green hydrogen. At scale, AREH aims to produce green hydrogen for export into the international market.
