Shady Elborno

Shady Shaher Elborno is Head of Macro Strategy Research, analyzing regional and global economic relationships and providing thought leadership research on issues that impact the MENA region. Prior to joining Emirates NBD, Shady was with Standard Chartered Bank as a Senior Economist for the MENA region, and he has also held positions in financial markets with them and with a number of regional banks. He graduated from the Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE and holds a degree in Accounting. Shady is a frequent commentator in the local and international media, and has been a key note speaker at a number of conferences and events on economic issues in the MENA region.
