Simon Lukies

Simon is a Technical Director for GHD’s Environment Business Group in Hobart with a background in environmental impact assessment and ecology. Simon has 20 years’ experience, focusing on the fields of environmental impact assessment, ecology, natural resource management and the management of large infrastructure projects including windfarms, transmission lines, pipelines, roads and bridges. Simon has overseen the delivery of numerous Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects, particularly Level 2 Assessments under EMPCA for windfarms, green hydrogen plants, sewage treatment plants, mining operations, waste disposal facilities, subdivisions, pipelines, power cables and roads. Simon regularly works with community groups, governments, private business and industry to achieve sustainable development outcomes.
