Tori Thomsen, CIS

Tori Thomsen has been a Meetings and Events industry professional for over 20 years. Her extensive knowledge and skill at contract negotiations, venue sourcing, meeting technologies and supplier relations, positions her as an industry gem- a best-in-class subject matter expert. Tori currently is a Senior Sourcing Manager with Maritz Global Events dedicated to Novartis Pharmaceuticals where her responsibilities include working with the stakeholders on Incentive Programs, Launch Meetings, Executive Leadership retreats and HCP Programs. She has proven to be a key resource for implementing cost savings programs both domestically and internationally. Tori is Cvent certified in Venue Sourcing, Event Management, Mobile Event App, Virtual and Hybrid Events, and Event diagramming. She has built strong partnerships with hotel chains and CVBs and leverages those relationships to provide the client with unprecedented savings and contract terms. Tori has held other strategic meeting management positions prior to Novartis at Amex GBT and Maritz in support of multiple Life Science accounts. In addition to her SMM positions, she also has nine years’ experience in hotel operations for Marriott, Starwood and Best Western Hotels and Resorts. When Tori is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Mike, two children Haylie and Ryan and her three rescue dogs. Tori loves to cook, travel and has recently discovered her love of crafting!
