Dr. Rasmussen is the CEO of Freesense, a technology company focused on data-based mapping of production scale fermentation processes using novel flow-following sensors. The sensor data and modelling tools developed by Freesense, is being used by customers withing pharma and white biotech for design, upscaling and improvement of fermentation processes. Dr. Rasmussen has an M.Sc. in Biochemistry and a PhD in pharmaceutical development and have worked for global biotech companies Novozymes and Chr. Hansen in technical and commercial roles, prior to becoming co-founder and CEO of Freesense 4 years ago.
