William Nielsen is the Chief Economist with Ecotone Analytics where he develops social, economic, and environmental impact analyses and projections for public, private, and non-profit clients. Will brings 10+ years of experience in the impact analysis space where he works to understand the interconnectedness of our actions to help show how a myriad of impacts can flow from each investment a company makes and that recognizing these flows of impact creates a new level of foresight to guide strategy and decision-making. As we weave together the disparate and scattered wealth of information available in the world to generate new bits of knowledge, we can make choices that support greater benefits at greater efficiency than previously imaginable. Mass timber is a great example of a growing industry with many flows of value that were worth exploring to inform future decision-making.
