George is a founding partner and member of the investment committee of Criterion Africa Partners, a private equity firm investing the across timber and agriculture value chains in Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to forming Criterion Africa Partners he was the Managing Director responsible for raising over $1 billion for Global Environment Fund (GEF) for growth equity and buyout investments in the U.S and emerging markets including sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Latin America. Prior to his private equity career, George was responsible for new business development and corporate ventures for Hewlett-Packard and he began his career as a systems design engineer in the aerospace industry. He holds a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Cacious is an Investment Professional with extensive years of experience in Investment Management (public and private markets) and currently working as a Manager Investment Services at the GIPF. Cacious serve on board of Code for Responsible Investing in South Africa (CRISA) and several leading companies in Namibia.

He holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree – UNAM, MBA – University of Cape specializing in Finance, Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Cacious was an MBA Exchange Student at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology; studied Innovation, Culture & Entrepreneurship.

He has passion for private equity in all its forms as well as entrepreneurship.
