Shawn HamiltonShawn HamiltonPrincipal at Proveras Commercial Realty

Shawn Hamilton has been involved in Ottawa’s commercial real estate industry since 1992. At the beginning of his career, Shawn was a researcher at a National Brokerage firm tracking Ottawa’s office leasing market and providing statistical interpretations outlining the changes in the office leasing market. Following his tenure in research, Shawn was involved with the growth and expansion of Nortel in Ottawa, assisting with numerous builds to suit projects and various leasing expansions throughout the City. In addition to his work during the late 1990’s and 2000’s, Shawn has been involved with several high profile Crown Corporations as well as the Federal Government, assisting them with their downtown office leasing requirements. In addition to his years in brokerage, Shawn has held senior leadership positions with a global commercial real estate services company, and one of Canada’s most prominent real estate development and management firms before joining Proveras Commercial Realty as a principal. Beyond his professional achievements, Shawn is deeply involved in the community, actively contributing to local initiatives and charitable causes.

Elliott AltbergElliott AltbergExecutive Vice President, Investments at Crestpoint Real Estate Investments

Elliott Altberg joined Crestpoint in October 2019 and is currently an Executive Vice President, Head of Investments, with responsibility for the oversight and direction of the team. Prior to joining Crestpoint, Elliott was a Vice President at Oxford Properties, with responsibility for Oxford’s transaction initiatives across all asset classes in support of its Canadian investment mandate. Elliott began his professional career in 2005 with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenners & Smith Inc., spending time in both New York City and Hong Kong, and has held various positions at Tishman Speyer in New York from 2007-2010 and TD Securities in Toronto, from 2010-2014.

Elliott has extensive experience in capital markets, private equity/pension fund investments, property brokerage, and corporate mergers and acquisitions with more than $50 billion of real estate transactions on the advisory side of the business for Merrill Lynch and TD Securities, and more than $30B of real estate transactions on the principal and asset management side for Tishman Speyer and Oxford.

Elliott graduated Cum Laude and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College, with a Major in Economics and a Minor in Mathematics. He is also an active committee member of the Hold’em for Life Charity Challenge, an entirely volunteer-run, non-profit organization that has raised more than $37M to fund cancer research and other initiatives at Mount Sinai Hospital, SickKids Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Princess Margaret Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Emily HannaEmily HannaManaging Partner, Investments at Crown Realty Partners

Emily Hanna is Managing Partner, Investments at Crown Realty Partners, overseeing the capital raising, investments and ESG functions for the firm. Emily works with the acquisitions, finance, and asset management teams in the development of investment strategies. She offers partner oversight for Crown’s ESG Committee and is a member of Crown’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Crown, Emily was at Allied REIT, where she advanced the REIT’s early property development program and acquisitions across Canada, including 151 Front Street West, a Wall Street Journal “deal of the week.” Emily is an active member in the real estate community, having served on the board for Toronto Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), the Ted Rogers School of Management Real Estate Advisory Council. She is also a past board member and past president of NAIOP Greater Toronto. Emily holds a Bachelor of Sciences (Honours) degree, Master of Arts and PhD in Economics from the University of Toronto.

Aaron Moore is Senior Vice President, Investments, at Epic Investment Services. He leads the investment team and is responsible for executing the company’s growth strategy across Canada by sourcing and structuring investment opportunities for institutional and private clients. With 19 years of progressive real estate experience, Aaron has completed over $2.5 billion in acquisitions, dispositions and equity and debt financing across the country, in all major asset classes. In order to achieve his clients’ capital ambitions, Aaron creates and executes capital strategies using sophisticated structures.

Before taking his current role, Aaron was Vice President and Market Leader for central and eastern Canada at Cushman & Wakefield Structured Finance, where he executed equity and debt capital raising in excess of $1.4 billion. Before that, Aaron was Vice President and Broker at Avison Young, where he executed the acquisition and disposition of $650 million in real estate assets as a part of the Capital Markets Group. Aaron started his career in real estate with Cushman & Wakefield in Vancouver, BC.

Aaron holds a Master of Business Administration, with a specialization in finance, from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. Aaron is based in our Toronto head office.

Nico specializes in the acquisition and disposition of investment properties for corporate, institutional and private equity investors on a local and national level.

As a member of CBRE's National Investment Team – comprised of certain leading investment sales professionals across North America – Nico heads the Ottawa Capital Markets desk and is responsible for deal origination and execution in the National Capital Region. Since 2011, Nico has completed over $5.0B in sales comprising some of Ottawa's largest and most high profile investment transactions including the sale of Constitution Square (1,060,000 SF, $480M, downtown office) which represented the largest deal in Ottawa's history; Place de Ville (1,175,000 SF, $350M, downtown office comple😆; and the Island Park Towers Portfolio (642 suites at $267M). Nico has developed a strong client base and past successes have been the result of his ability to run an efficient and effective process for each assignment.
