Michael LindauerMichael LindauerManaging Director, Global Head of Private Equity at Allianz Capital Partners GmbH

Michael heads Allianz Capital Partners’ (ACP) global private equity investment activities with AuM in excess of EUR 29bn.

He joined Allianz in 2003 from PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance where he advised on venture capital and buyout transactions in Germany.

Prior to that he was Head of Controlling for Yahoo! Germany. Michael started his career as auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Michael Lindauer represents Allianz on several fund advisory boards and is a former Director of Invest Europe.

He holds a master degree in business administration from LMU in Munich. Michael is a Fellow of the 2018 class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

Fred PollockFred PollockChief Investment Officer at GCM Grosvenor

Mr. Pollock is the firm’s Chief Investment Officer and is responsible for managing all investment related activities for the firm. He is also Head of the Strategic Investments Group and serves on all of the firm’s Investment Committees, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and the ESG & Impact Committee. Prior to joining GCM Grosvenor, Mr. Pollock had various roles at Morgan Stanley, most recently within its merchant banking division, specializing in infrastructure investing, with responsibility for deal sourcing, due diligence, and management as a Board Member of various portfolio companies. He helped form the infrastructure investment group at Morgan Stanley and structured and raised capital for its initial funds. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he worked at Deutsche Bank, where he made investments for the firm and on behalf of clients. He received his Bachelor of Science summa cum laude in Economics from the University of Nevada and his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.

John RomeoJohn RomeoManaging Partner at Oliver Wyman

John is a Managing Partner with Oliver Wyman. He founded and leads Oliver Wyman’s Private Capital business, working with leading Private Equity funds, family offices and alternative asset managers on business model strategy, deal generation, diligence and value creation. He also leads the Oliver Wyman Forum, the firm’s platform for engaging key business, public policy and societal leaders to act on shared challenges.

Prior to these roles, John served as Head of the Americas for Oliver Wyman and has over 30 years of consulting experience, advising the boards and senior executives of the world’s leading private and public sector organizations on strategy, organizational effectiveness, risk management and M&A.

John is a board member of Safe Horizon (the largest victims’ services agency in the United States) and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), Chair of the London Data Commission, a member of Young Presidents’ Organization, Wall Street Journal CEO Council and the Investment Committees of Duke Royalty and Asta Capital Partners. He previously served on the boards of the Partnership for New York City, MMC Securities Limited and the European IPO Taskforce.

John has a Masters degree in Economics from Cambridge University where he was a Senior Scholar.

Stephen SwentzelStephen SwentzelManaging Director, Co-Head of GP Finanacing Solutions at Hunter Point Capital

Mr. Swentzel is a Managing Director at Hunter Point Capital and serves as Co-Head of Hunter Point Capital GP Financing Solutions.

Prior to joining HPC, Mr. Swentzel served as a Managing Director at 17Capital where he was responsible for originating, structuring and executing preferred equity and NAV loan investments and co-led the firm’s U.S. investment team. During his time at 17Capital, Mr. Swentzel led some of the largest and most complex private equity portfolio finance investments in the industry, establishing unique partnerships with private equity managers across their funds, management companies, and strategic investors. Prior to 17Capital, Mr. Swentzel worked at HQ Capital (formerly known as Auda Alternatives Investments), where he was responsible for sourcing and executing secondaries and co-investing opportunities.

Mr. Swentzel earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Matthew WitheilerMatthew WitheilerSector Lead, Consumer & Technology at Wellington Management

As a sector lead, Matt leads the firm’s late-stage private company investment activity across the consumer and technology sectors. He works closely with global industry analysts and other global research resources within the firm to identify, lead diligence, pursue and manage investments in private companies.
