Michael is a partner in Gilbert + Tobin’s Energy and Resources group. He has over 40 years' experience across a range of jurisdictions, particularly in Africa where there are strong tribal and traditional connections to land and culture. Michael is not a native title lawyer, rather he has a demonstrated record of agreement making where the expectations of Governments, Industry and First Nations peoples have been brought together for the betterment of all. Michael has served on numerous ASX listed companies and is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of Develop Global Limited, a future facing mining company with an advanced copper/zinc project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, and a soon to be recommissioned copper/zinc mining project at Woodlawn in New South Wales and the subject to shareholder support the owner of an advanced lithium exploration project in the Kalgoorlie region on Western Australia.

Laurent TrostLaurent TrostChief Operating Officer at Yara

Laurent Trost is the Chief Operating Officer of Yara Pilbara which operates one of the world’s largest ammonia plants in the North West of Western Australia. The plant also provides the feedstock for an adjacent technical ammonium nitrate plant providing a critical ingredient to mines across the Pilbara. Laurent is a chemical engineer whose career has taken him to operational and management roles in Belgium, South Africa, Brazil, Russia and France. Before taking on his current position in late 2020, Laurent was the General Manager of Yara’s production operations in Cartagena, Colombia.

Dmitry is an energy professional with 20 years of experience. He joined Woodside in 2012 and progressed through a broad range of engineering and leadership roles in production optimisation, business process improvement and pre-FEED and commercialisation studies. Since 2020, Dmitry has been leading feasibility studies for various CCS opportunities and in 2022 appointed as Development Manager of Angel CCS Project. Dmitry is Bachelor (Hon) of Chemical Engineering from Moscow State University of Oil and Gas.
