David Crewe-Brown

Dave was the CFO for Nedbank Retail and Business Bank prior to being appointed as the Group CRO in March 2023. He has significant industrywide experience in finance, operations, credit, capital management and regulatory reporting, having worked in financial services for over 29 years. With an unconventional path to the Group CRO position and exposure to credit from different perspectives, Dave infuses business acumen and commercial thinking into the world of risk management, bridging the gap between traditional risk methodologies and forward-thinking business strategies, empowering the second line to approach risk management holistically.
