Dr Howard Smith

Dr Howard Smith is a chemical engineer with over 30 years experience in the resource sector. His experience covers a range of mining, oil, gas and chemical processing projects. He has more recently focussed on planning and design of large scale industrial and city estates built upon the principles of industrial symbiosis and decarbonisation. A significant feature of Howard’s current work is to implement a fully integrated CCS project capable of dealing not only with emissions from the Northern Territory’s industrial base, but also importing carbon dioxide from downstream trading partners for disposal.
