Mark Chilvers

Mark Chilvers has been the Executive Director, SA Dental since October 2018. SA Dental is part of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) and operates the State’s only public dental service from a network of 42 clinics and service sites across South Australia. SA Dental provides public dental services for children and eligible adults, high level strategic and policy advice to the Minister for Health and Wellbeing and his Department. Mark is the current chair of the National Dental Directors group, helping to lead State and Territory collaboration on policy and funding reform of public oral health services for the nation. Recently, Mark has been working with CALHN on the establishment of the network’s Digital and Strategy Portfolio to enable a digital first approach to improving healthcare outcomes. Mark has a strong background in health service management working at the Royal Adelaide and Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s in SA, is a Certified Practicing Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Adelaide. Mark has professional interests in leadership, complex systems, technology and human behaviour - aimed at the pursuit of improving the health and wellbeing of our population.
