Phil Lock

Phil is a founding Director and Commercial Manager of The ARCS Group.
Phil has worked and consulted to urban passenger and freight railways around Australia for over 40 years.
He has extensive experience in the design and implementation of train control, SCADA and operational systems and the application of innovative technology solutions to solve problems for his clients. His career commenced in Westrail in 1980 where he started as a signal engineer and moved into the role of technical systems engineering manager where he was a key player in the design and development of the early computerized train control and operational systems.
He continues to consult, innovate, and develop projects in these areas for railways, mining, water, utilities and IoT SMART Cities around Australia. Phil promotes the appropriate use of technology to improve safety and operations within the industry.
