Rob Read

Robert spent most of his career in private equity and healthcare. He is the Chief Commercial Officer at Amplar Health, one of Australia's leading healthcare service providers, partnering to provide new and innovative care models. Amplar supports patients across primary care, homecare, virtual health and short stay hospitals. Prior to becoming CCO of Amplar Health, Robert led MedAdvisor Ltd, an Australian listed Medtech company as CEO & MD from start-up to a global business with over 3 million users. MedAdvisor is focused on improving medication adherence. Over 90% of the Australian pharmacy market use MedAdvisor and it is also a leading player in the US medication adherence market. Robert was also the Managing Director of the Australian Private Equity arm of Harbert Management Corporation, and Director of Commercial Strategy and Operations at GlaxoSmithKline. During his private equity career, Robert spent time at both St George Bank's and ANZ Bank's private equity divisions where he was responsible for managing venture and private equity investments, all the way through to profitable exits. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Management) and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from Monash University and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
