Oliver Latham is a vice president in Charles River Associates’ European Competition Practice. He specialises in the application of econometric techniques to competition assessments as well as in cases involving multi-sided platforms and innovative industries.
His merger work has involved technology and payments (e.g. Amazon/Deliveroo, Microsoft/LinkedIn, Microsoft/GitHub, Microsoft/ZeniMax, PayPal/iZettle, PayPal/Honey, Taboola/Outbrain, Visa/Plaid, Visa/Tink, Uber/Yandex, Uber/Grab, Uber/Careem, Uber/Postmates and Uber/Cornershop), broadcasting (Fox/Sky, Disney/Fox, Vodafone/Liberty Global), as well as a range of other industries (e.g. Aercap/GECAS, AEG/SMG, Ball/Rexam, INEOS/Solvay, Kongsberg/RRCM and NCR/Cardtronics). His antitrust work includes work for complainants in the Google Android, Google Shopping and Google Ad Tech cases, work for Unilever in its response to concerns in relation to impulse ice cream, work for Amazon in ongoing antitrust investigations as well as a range of ongoing work in pharmaceuticals, technology, travel, sports, finance, and tech. He also works on damages litigation, including work for Visa in the ongoing interchange fee litigation, work on class action claims in the technology space, and for Alstom in relation to the Gas Insulated Switchgear cartel.
Prior to joining CRA, Dr Latham completed a PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge, where he was also a teaching fellow in the Faculty of Economics and a consultant at the Centre for Policy Studies. His writing has been published in peer reviewed journals including the Economic Journal and European Competition Journal and he has written on economic issues in other publications including Competition Policy International, the Sunday Times and Vox. In 2020 he was named one of the Global Competition Review’s “40 under 40” of antitrust practitioners worldwide.

Anneli Howard is top-ranked by Chambers, Legal 500 and Who’s Who in six different disciplines: Competition, EU law, Consumer law/Product Liability, Public Administrative law, Aviation and Telecommunications. In 2018 Anneli won The Legal 500 award for EU/Competition Junior of the Year and was one of the Lawyer’s “Hot 100” in 2016. From 2005 to 2021, Anneli was a member of the AG Panels for Public Administrative law and WTO/International Trade.
A former Référendaire at the European Court of Justice, she has expert insight of the interaction between EU and domestic law, including telecoms, utilities and other regulated industries. In November 2012 she was appointed as Standing Counsel to the Civil Aviation Authority to advise on their new sectoral competition law powers and EU responsibilities. Anneli has recently been appointed to the Attorney General’s A Panel for Public/ Administrative Law and to its Public International Law Panel for a tenure of 5 years.

Beatriz García is Litigation and Public Law partner at Pérez-Llorca since January 2018. She is an expert in defending clients before the Civil/ Commercial Courts, the Administrative Courts and in proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
She currently leads the practice on claims for damages related to competition law infringements, and is entrusted with providing legal advice on highly significant domestic and international matters in the automotive, energy, agri-food, financial and construction sectors, among others. Beatriz heads one of the pioneering teams in this practice in Spain and is recognised in the industry for her extensive experience in handling complex multi-jurisdictional matters.
An expert in public procurement and its recent changes, Beatriz also provides ongoing advice to domestic and international clients taking part in public bidding processes, and represents her clients in legal proceedings related to public procurement.

Michaël is a partner in the EU/Competition department in Paris. He represents clients in antitrust litigations, merger control, State Aid, counselling, and establishing effective antitrust compliance programs. He is also specialised in distribution law and restrictive trade practices.Michaël has considerable experience in competition matters involving the energy, transport and consumer products sectors and has represented clients in other industries including retail, banking, industrial equipment and private equity. Michaël lectures competition law at the University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas).
Michaël is a member of the Paris Bar. He is also a member of the board of the French Competition Law Society (Association Française d'Etude de la Concurrence).

Thomas Reyntjens is a Référendaire at the General Court of the European Union. His main responsibility is to help the judge he works with manage and decide his cases, which includes drafting judgments. He completed a PhD (DPhil) thesis at Oxford University. Before joining the Court in 2022, Thomas was a private practice lawyer in London and Brussels.
