Juan Monterrosa is a P.Eng., LEED accredited professional and a Certified Passive House Consultant. He is currently the Senior Program Manager at Emissions-Neutral Building Information Exchange (ENBI😆 at Alberta Ecotrust Foundation which aims to be a convener and collaborator with building stakeholders to democratize information and increase capacity in designing and constructing emission neutral buildings.
Previously, Juan spent 7 years at the City of Edmonton in leadership roles such as Branch Manager of Development Services, and Director of Safety Code, Permits and Inspections. He was also part of the Board of Directors for the Safety Codes Council of Alberta and Energy Code Engineer.
Brent Downey is a Corporate Environmental Specialist with the City of Calgary’s Community Energy Programs team. He is the program manager for BenchmarkYYC, and over the last four years, he has been heavily involved in the design and implementation of City-led greenhouse gas emissions reduction initiatives for the commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings sector. Brent has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Guelph and is a Certified Project Management Professional and a Certified Energy Manager.
