Georgia leads the ARA’s Rail Freight and Heavy Haul portfolios to support greater use of rail to meet the nation’s growing freight task. Prior to joining the ARA in 2021, Georgia was the Stakeholder Relations and Issues Manager for the Australian Dairy industry, leading national dairy industry response to crises, natural disasters and threats to the industry’s social licence. Previously, Georgia served as CEO of the Victorian Taxi Association during transformative change in the passenger vehicle industry, and held various roles in the Victorian transport sector, political offices and the Victorian public service. Georgia holds and Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration.

Tamara is a chartered civil engineer with over 18 years of Heavy Haul rail experience in Operations, Maintenace and Strategic Growth. She has held senior leadership positions in the largest mining and logistics companies globally. Tamara has a reputation for progressive technical excellence anchored in business strategy. She is a Safety, Psychosocial Safety and Wellness Advocate.

Richard CohenRichard CohenManaging Director Rail, Port & Core Services at Rio Tinto Iron Ore

Richard is the Managing Director Port, Rail & Core Services for the Rio Tinto iron ore business. He is accountable for the end-to-end supply chain moving iron ore from 17 mines across the Pilbara through the rail network, and onto customers via four port terminals at Dampier and Cape Lambert. Richard is also responsible for the Dampier Salt business, and the provision of core services including sustaining capital, towns and facilities management, support infrastructure, utilities and associated services across the iron ore operations. Richard commenced with Rio Tinto as a graduate engineer, spending the first 17 years of his career living residentially in the Pilbara. Richard has worked across mines, ports, rail, studies and projects. Prior to his current role, Richard was based in California as Managing Director for Borates & Lithium. Richard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Engineering, from the University of Western Australia.
