Richard is the Managing Director Port, Rail & Core Services for the Rio Tinto iron ore business. He is accountable for the end-to-end supply chain moving iron ore from 17 mines across the Pilbara through the rail network, and onto customers via four port terminals at Dampier and Cape Lambert. Richard is also responsible for the Dampier Salt business, and the provision of core services including sustaining capital, towns and facilities management, support infrastructure, utilities and associated services across the iron ore operations. Richard commenced with Rio Tinto as a graduate engineer, spending the first 17 years of his career living residentially in the Pilbara. Richard has worked across mines, ports, rail, studies and projects. Prior to his current role, Richard was based in California as Managing Director for Borates & Lithium. Richard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Engineering, from the University of Western Australia.

Sarah Dearman has over 20 years of rail industry experience across the Asia Pacific region holding various senior leadership and executive positions within the heavy haul freight sector ranging from engineering, services and operations.
She is currently managing the operational readiness for BHP’s digital Rail Technology Project.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) from James Cook University and studied Leadership at Hult Ashridge Executive Business School, United Kingdom.

Damien is the CEO at RISSB with over 40 years in the rail industry including CEO at TasRail. Damien is well regarded as a Change Agent to help drive reform in the safety and efficiency of Australia’s rail industry.

Shubnum is the Managing Director at Untangled (Love and Online) and has over 18 years’ experience in I.T, spanning across both the private and public enterprises. She has domain knowledge of various industries including Banking, Insurance, State Owned Enterprises – Railway Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain and Telecommunications. Shubnum also runs a Family Law Mediation practice. With a BCOMM in Business Information Systems, Investment and Corporate Finance, Shubnum further supplements her education that with an MBA from GIBS University and a Senior Leadership Certificate from Wits Business School. With extensive experience as Senior Manager for G.R.C and Business Relationship Management at a State-Owned Enterprise in the Railway Freight transportation industry, she has several IT Certifications relating to Portfolio, Projects and IT Architecture and IT Operations. As a Family Law Mediator and Negotiator, she is also locally and internationally accredited Mediator and Negotiator with the SAAM and ADR Register. Shubnum understands the impact of communication and interpersonal skills required in all relationships, especially in high conflict environments and further how the lack thereof leads to conflict in our personal and work relationships. She works with a battery of conflict management tools and techniques to help difficult relationships achieve win-win scenarios for all involved.
