In his previous capacity, Salim served as the head of the Clinical Business Unit, overseeing the largest inpatient bed base within the Gold Coast HHS.

Salim's unwavering passion lies in optimizing the flow of patients through the acute unscheduled care health system. His visionary contributions have led to the conceptualization and establishment of various ground-breaking models at Gold Coast HHS.

Furthermore, Salim's dedication to integrating technology into acute care is evident through his current involvement in the 'Virtual Inpatient (VIP) project' and the 'Virtual Weekend Discharge (ViWeD) project.' These initiatives are aimed at harnessing the power of technology to enhance patient care experiences. Salim's extensive clinical practice provides a rich source of inspiration for generating ideas that strongly resonate with clinical staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Salim's educational background includes the completion of his medical degree in India. Additionally, he holds certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
