Katerina Placek

Katerina Placek is a Senior Manager in Digital Health Sciences at Takeda where she advises clinical teams on the selection and implementation of digital tools in clinical trials. She leads device validation studies, assesses new technologies, and supports teams in digital biomarker development across therapeutic areas, specializing in Neurology. Prior to her role in Digital Health Sciences, Katerina was a Manager in Quantitative Sciences at Takeda where she worked as a data scientist in Neurology, including on projects involving digital endpoints. Katerina holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania, an MSc in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Psychology from St. Mary's College of Maryland.
