Gulmira RzayevaGulmira RzayevaSenior Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford Institute for Energy Studies

Ms. Gulmira Rzayeva is a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES). She is a founder and managing director of the London-based Eurasia Analytics Ltd consulting company. She was a senior research fellow at the Center for Strategic Studies (SAM) under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for last ten years until January 2019. Her area of expertise includes energy security covering issues such as the energy policy of Azerbaijan and East Europe/Caspian region, Turkish domestic natural gas market, SEE gas market, global natural gas market, gas-to-hydrogen, possible export of blue hydrogen to Europe from countries in MENA region and Turkey etc. Ms Rzayeva is recognized worldwide for her reports and seminal articles about energy focusing on the region, as well as for her speeches in some of the most prestigious universities including Harvard University, think-tanks and prestigious international conferences world-wide. Ms. Rzayeva has published several scholarly publications focusing on her area of expertise.

Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli is Vice President for Caspian region responsible for company’s external affairs and communications. He has 25 years of professional experience in the energy sector and has held number of leadership roles ‎across communications and external affairs, strategy, tax and customs, ethics ‎and compliance as well as business services.

In addition to professional activities, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli is also a visiting lecturer on Energy Geopolitics and Political Economy of Energy at Baku State University, ADA University and Baku Higher Oil School. He is the author of one book and numerous professional articles and commentaries. He holds degree in International Affairs from Baku State University.

Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli was awarded the ’Progress’ medal (2017) by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Marija SavovaMarija SavovaHead of Commercial at Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP AG)

Marija, our Head of Commercial, joined TAP in 2009. She has a background in engineering, with extensive project management and consulting experience in the field of natural gas. Prior to joining TAP, Marija worked as Director of the Department for Studies and Planning at the Danish consulting company Ramboll Oil & Gas. Marija holds a Postgraduate degree from the Technical University of Denmark and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from La Salle University.
