David Tonge has over 20 years’ consulting experience for leading energy companies in Turkey and Central Asia. He is Director of IBS Research and Consultancy which monitors and models developments in gas and power in Turkey and has carried out over 250 projects for international and local companies and financial institutions, both for business development and dispute resolution.

David Tonge is author of a wide range of publications on Turkey. He has a BA in natural sciences and economics from Cambridge, England.

Ethem Ugur began his career in the energy sector at Kibar Energy, one of Turkey’s seven major natural gas importing companies. After gaining valuable experience, he transitioned to his current role as a Commercial Operations Engineer at the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Company (TANAP).

Ethem holds a Master's degree in the Energy and Sustainable Development Program from Kadir Has University, where he specialized in analyzing the liberalization of the Turkish Natural Gas Market. His academic pursuits have equipped him with a deep understanding of the intricate dynamics of the industry, empowering him to drive impactful change and innovation.
