Stefaan AdriaensStefaan AdriaensCommercial Manager at Gate Terminal

Stefaan joined the Gate LNG terminal in Rotterdam (NL) as commercial manager in 2008 shortly after FID. With a small team he works on the long term relationship with the 7 terminal users to further enhance the functionality of the terminal. His prior function was at Fluxys (B) where he was a.o. involved in the expansion of the Zeebrugge LNG terminal. Stefaan has spent his entire career in energy related matters (refining, petrochemicals, natural gas, banking) in a variety of functions (commercial, planning, financial, engineering, IT, analysis, …).

Agnieszka AsonAgnieszka AsonSenior Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford Institute for Energy Studies

Agnieszka Ason is an independent energy lawyer and consultant with over ten years of sector-specific legal and commercial experience. She has worked on energy transactions and disputes with top-tier law firms in Berlin, London and Singapore, and has acted (as legal counsel and expert) in major energy arbitrations and gas and LNG price reviews in Europe and Asia. She has expertise in gas, LNG and hydrogen-related matters and currently prioritises assignments as an arbitrator and strategic advisor.

Alongside her legal and advisory work, Agnieszka is a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, where she has published high-impact papers, including studies on 'Asian LNG Price Reviews and Arbitrations' (2019) and 'International Gas Contracts' (2022). She has edited several energy publications, including OGEL (Oil, Gas and Energy Law) Issues on ‘Changing LNG Markets and Contracts’ (2020) and ‘Carbon Neutral Energy’ (2022).

Agnieszka is a regular speaker and moderator at industry events. She is an Honorary Lecturer in International Dispute Resolution at Queen Mary University of London and a Senior Advisor and Lecturer in Energy Law at the Technical University of Berlin. Agnieszka is also the Course Director for Informa's Certificate in LNG.

Christoph von dem BusscheChristoph von dem BusscheManaging Director at GASCADE

Christoph von dem Bussche is Managing Director of the German transmission system operators GASCADE Gastransport GmbH and NEL Gastransport GmbH, which connect Germany with five neighboring European countries via their transport system. GASCADE plans to convert important parts of its transmission system to hydrogen transport and is involved in several hydrogen infrastructure projects on land and at sea.

Von dem Bussche holds a doctorate in chemistry and began his professional career in 1993 at BASF in Ludwigshafen. Before becoming Managing Director of GASCADE in 2009 and Managing Director of NEL in 2012, he held various senior positions in the oil and gas sector of the group, including European gas sales and strategic planning.

Christoph von dem Bussche has been a member of the ENTSOG Board of Directors since 2016. In addition, he has been a member of the board of the AquaVentus Förderverein since 2020. The association pursues the goal of making large quantities of green hydrogen produced offshore available to the German and European hydrogen market via an offshore pipeline.

Agnieszka OzgaAgnieszka OzgaDirector of the Energy Transition Division at GAZ-SYSTEMS

Agnieszka Ozga has been associated with GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. since 2004. In 2009, she joined Gas Market Development Division in charge of international projects, where she acted as a Manager of International Cooperation and Projects Unit since 2018. In 2022, she was promoted to the position of Director of International Cooperation Division and currently serves as Director of the Energy Transition Division. She has been involved in the development of GAZ-SYSTEM's cross-border projects aimed at diversification and securing the supply of natural gas to Poland as well as to the entire CEE region, obtaining EU grants, coordination of the Company's international policy, cooperation with foreign Transmission System Operators, and pursuing various market initiatives and procedures related with numerous projects implemented by the Company. Currently, her responsibilities also include preparing GAZ-SYSTEM for the implementation of the Hydrogen and Decarbonized Gas Market Package, development of the hydrogen market, and Company's participation in decarbonisation initiatives contributing to energy transition in Poland.
