Debra is the Managing Director of Satarla Australia, a global consultancy in sustainability and risk management who have deep experience in creating true impact through the proactive management of risk. Debra is an innovative and out-come focused environmental, social and governance (ESG) and risk professional with more than 25 years’ of global experience in health, safety, environmental and social responsibility for the mining and industrial sectors. Debra has held senior roles in firms such as South32, Glencore, Eramet and Carter Holt Harvey, and has consulted to firms such as BHP, Anglo American, Vale and PCYC. Debra’s roles as a senior manager have focused on establishing and implementing frameworks and programs to identify, manage and monitor ESG risks. Over the last 15 years Debra has passionately pursued the protection of worker health and safety and proactive environmental stewardship within mining operations in developing and emerging nations with the aim of developing world-class HSE practitioners. Debra’s passion for the development of HSE practitioners has extended to being a contributing author of the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety new curriculum guidance. Debra is a member of the Critical Minerals Association of Australia (CMAA) Advisory Committee and the inaugural chair of the CMAA ESG Advisory Committee

Anita has consulted to industry leaders in roads and rail for construction, infrastructure and functional asset maintenance, technical manufacturing, IT&T, professional services and the medical sector.

With over 30 years of experience in the automotive and mining industries, Chris is a seasoned Lean expert and trainer who coaches senior leaders at BHP to drive lean mining across the organization. He is passionate about creating a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and psychological wellbeing among leaders and teams. Chris has been implementing Lean in mining for the past 15 years, starting as a Superintendent at Rio Tinto and joining BHP in 2008 as a Principal Advisor. He has designed, applied, and taught the Lean mindset to leaders and teams working in facilities located in various countries and regions. He has also supported the design and execution of business transformation, supply chain improvement, and enterprise value stream improvement projects. He is the author of two books, Flick the Switch and Why Care, where he shares his insights and experiences on Lean and psychological health, safety, and wellbeing. He was a finalist for the BHP Sustainable Leadership Award in 2023.
