Naïm Abou-Jaoudé
Chief Executive Officer and President EFAMA at Candriam

aïm Abou-Jaoudé is the Chief Executive Officer of Candriam, a role he has held since 2007. Candriam is a $175bn global multi-specialist asset manager and a recognized leader in Sustainable Investing. He is also the Chairman of New York Life Investments International, an asset manager with over $600bn of AuM, in charge of developing the company’s activities outside the US.
Naïm’s career spans over 30 years of experience in the asset management industry, during which he held various investment leadership roles from Alternative fund manager, Chief Investment Officer and now Chief Executive Officer.
He was named the CEO of Dexia Asset Management in 2007. Over his tenure as CEO, Naïm has strengthened the company’s positioning as a key player on the European asset management scene and as a leader and pioneer in sustainable investing, not only at the fund management level but as a company. In 2014, he steered the company’s acquisition by New York Life and its rebranding to Candriam (which stands for “Conviction AND Responsibility In Asset Management”).
Over the last seven years, Candriam has become one of the fastest growing asset managers in Europe, doubling its assets under management through product diversification, geographic expansion across Europe, Asia, and the US; and external growth, notably in illiquid classes including Real Estate Private Equity.
In June 2021, Naim was elected President of the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) which is the voice of the EUR 27tn European investment management industry.
Naïm is a graduate of the Institute of Political Studies in Paris -- IEP-Sciences Po, and holds a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from Université Paris II - Panthéon Assas.
