Rupert Maloney an Executive Director – Hydrogen at the Clean Energy Finance Corporation. Rupert is leading the effort to establish the CEFC as a market leader and investor in the commercialisation of the hydrogen sector across Australia. Rupert is responsible for the identification and development of new business relationships and opportunities in the emerging hydrogen sector. Rupert has almost 20 years’ experience working across investment, finance and corporate development roles. Most recently he was General Manager in Strategy and Corporate Development at Ampol and prior to that he had senior roles at Keurig Dr Pepper and Macquarie Group.

Alexandra McIntoshAlexandra McIntoshInvestment Director at Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA)

Alex McIntosh is a Director in the Business Development and Transactions team with the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), specialising in the identification and execution of investment opportunities. Alex leads ARENA’s commercialising clean hydrogen investment focus area. ARENA’s funding in hydrogen has and continues to play a pivotal role in establishing a hydrogen industry in Australia. Prior to ARENA Alex worked at KPMG advising companies on buy-side and sell-side transactions with a focus on energy, infrastructure and private equity sectors across Asia Pacific.

Catriona McleodCatriona McleodCountry Manager (Australia) at European Energy

Catriona McLeod heads the Australian operations of European Energy, as Managing Director of EE Australia Pty Ltd. European Energy develops, builds, owns and operates solar, wind and green Power-to-X (hydrogen and e-Fuels) projects globally. The company has built more than 270 operational wind and solar projects and is currently building 2 large scale hydrogen projects in Denmark, including what will be the world’s largest e-Methanol facility. European Energy has announced offtake agreements and partnerships for sales of hydrogen derivatives with a number of major corporations, including Maersk, Novo Nordisk, Lego, Circle K and HMM.

Marcus DixsonMarcus DixsonCountry Head, Australia at Green Giraffe

Marcus is the Country Head for Australia at Green Giraffe Advisory. He has over 15 years of experience in the energy sector and a track record of bringing complex energy transactions to financial close across a variety of different markets. His career to date has focused on structuring and arranging transactions across the capital structure, including non-recourse debt raisings and numerous M&A transactions. He recently advised several clients to raise early-stage development capital in the domestic market, successfully attracting some of the global leaders in the offshore wind industry. He brings experience from the wider APAC offshore wind market, including Taiwan and Japan. Prior to joining Green Giraffe, spent 12 years working in the renewable energy industry in the UK and Europe. He is a Charted Accountant and has a first-class mechanical engineer degree.
