Rupert Maloney an Executive Director – Hydrogen at the Clean Energy Finance Corporation. Rupert is leading the effort to establish the CEFC as a market leader and investor in the commercialisation of the hydrogen sector across Australia. Rupert is responsible for the identification and development of new business relationships and opportunities in the emerging hydrogen sector. Rupert has almost 20 years’ experience working across investment, finance and corporate development roles. Most recently he was General Manager in Strategy and Corporate Development at Ampol and prior to that he had senior roles at Keurig Dr Pepper and Macquarie Group.

Mr Holder has been part of Yara International’s Australian management team since July 2012 and is responsible for leading the establishment of Yara’s Clean Ammonia (YCA) business in Australia and New Zealand which is evaluating the development of an asset backed platform of renewable hydrogen and ammonia projects to assist in cleaner power generation, emission-free fuel for shipping, carbon-free food production and in decarbonizing hard to abate industries.

Mr Holder is an experienced corporate executive with over 15 years' experience working on public and private mergers and acquisitions, the establishment and management of large-scale joint ventures; and in the development and financing of oil and gas, mining, petrochemical, renewable and infrastructure projects. Mr Holder is a qualified Australian lawyer, holds degrees in both law and economics from the University of Western Australia, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and Investment, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course (AAICD).

Clare PopeClare PopePartner, Energy Transition at PwC Australia

Clare Pope is a partner in PwC Australia's Energy Transition team based in Perth. She has significant experience in advising her clients in relation to M&A and project development work across energy and resources, renewable energy and energy transition projects. Clare is currently advising on the development of nine green and blue hydrogen projects in Western Australia, and regionally, including projects seeking to develop low carbon products, green products and to transition operations, and supporting projects seeking to develop carbon capture and underground storage projects either as a service or as an adjacent project to existing operations. Clare has worked in Perth, London, Tokyo, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, and has been recognised in a number of legal directories as an expert in her field.
