clearly articulate what the

organization is striving to do

to make our workplace products

and services more inclusive

of people with disability.

We have a really active

employee reference group

{{00:00:56}}
called Accessibility Matters.

The group comprises

{{00:00:59}}
employees with disability.

We also have a lot of

people with primary

{{00:01:02}}
caring responsibilities.

They're very active

{{00:01:05}}
and engaged with

the entire business.

We also promote our workplace

adjustment program so that

any employee who would benefit

{{00:01:12}}
from having an adjustment

has a really dignified and

{{00:01:14}}
respectful experience in

making that arrangement.

As an employer, once you can

demonstrate to your employees

that you really are genuinely

interested in making the

workplace more inclusive and

that you want to co-design

solutions with them rather

than make things and create

will start to trust that the

We have a lot of team members,

who share their stories

internally on video talking

about the jobs they do.

The adjustments that they

have in place, and we've

even started to share some

{{00:01:50}}
of these stories externally.

It's really important to

maintain an open dialogue with

employees with disability so

that you understand the impact

that your policies, your

the work that they're doing.

And we're very open to

sharing our practices.

We are goal members of

the Australian Network on

disability, where we will

frequently speak about the

work that we are doing.

We have an open invitation

to other organizations

to share what we are

{{00:02:31}}
doing and our practices.

And we're also part of the

include ability, employer

network, once again, sharing

our practices with other

employers and learning

from them at the same time.

It's really good to have a

plan and to actually have

a lot of activity and, and

start to introduce programs

and initiatives, but it's

also really important that

you measure that progress.

So since 2017, Australia

Post have measured our

{{00:02:55}}
progress within the access

{{00:02:57}}
and inclusion index.

As administered by the

Australian Network on

{{00:03:01}}
disability, and that measure

{{00:03:03}}
measures everything that we

{{00:03:04}}
are doing right across the

{{00:03:05}}
business from our employment

{{00:03:07}}
and recruitment practices,

{{00:03:09}}
our marketing, technology,

{{00:03:11}}
procurement premises, and

{{00:03:13}}
it measures our progress

{{00:03:14}}
across those categories

{{00:03:15}}
each year and provides

{{00:03:17}}
us with recommendations

{{00:03:18}}
on what we could do to

{{00:03:19}}
better our practice in

{{00:03:20}}
each of those categories.
