Christopher Zinn is CEO of the Private Health Insurance Intermediaries Association, which enforces a code of conduct for comparators and brokers that advise consumers and employers about health insurance. He’s worked as a journalist in print, radio and TV in Australia and overseas and sits on industry-based code committees involving the policing of mis- and disinformation. Other interests include consumer empowerment for the over 50s as well as cemeteries and end of life issues. He is also active in community broadcasting strategy.

Adam Johnston is a solicitor, holding a Master of Laws from the University of New England, Armidale, and a Graduate Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. During his studies, he was a Senate Intern, and a delegate to both the 1998 Constitutional Convention on a Republic and the 2001 Corowa People's Conference. He is a former long-term Member of the Government Solicitors Committee of the Law Society of NSW and has worked in various complaint handling roles for the NSW Ombudsman and the Energy and Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON). He serves on a number of committees in Northern Sydney Local Health District, including the Clinical Council and the ITC Advisory Council and is as a Consumer Advisor to the LHD in the Mental Health Drug & Alcohol Directorate. He is currently an LHD Board Member and a PhD (Law) Student at Macquarie University.

Inaara Jindani is an emerging young leader, who has made significant contributions to facilitate intergenerational equity both in Australia and internationally. As the founder of Project Localise, Inaara capacity builds organisations to localise global sustainability agendas and foster the collective intergenerational benefits of long-term decision making. Inaara has a professional background as an Urban Planner and has worked across all levels of government, the private sector, and the United Nations. She is also an advocate for vulnerable and marginalised groups, serves on various boards and committees and is a public speaker. In 2022, Inaara was recognised as a Young Woman to Watch in International Affairs.

Tasman is a tertiary-educated audiovisual technician in his mid-20's who finds the financial burden of health insurance, and lack thereof, overwhelming. Denied dental cover due to aging out of a family plan at 21, he paid the full $5k surgery bill out of pocket. In some ways, he's still paying for that operation.

Majella CampbellMajella CampbellHealth Consumer & Head of Product at Fishburners

Majella is a health consumer, athlete and product leader specialising in startups, technology and innovation. Majella is in her early twenties and is a long-term user of private health care who chose to continue her coverage to provide herself with extra security for her chronic health condition and sports-related injuries.

While she enjoys the benefits of her cover, she believes the system has a long way to go in order to suitably address the needs of young people across Australia. Majella’s background and experience in and around the world of technology and startups provides unique insight into the systemic challenges faced by young health consumers as well as the work that is being done within the startup ecosystem to combat these issues.
